Hello - my name is Sue and I have only just registered on this site. I live in Wiltshire and own a 6 year old 16.3 shire x tb called Zara. I would say she's dark bay but I have seen horses her colour described as black so not sure really I'm quite a nervous rider and have only been riding for a little less than 3 years, so slowly building up both my nerve and my riding skills. I mainly just hack at the moment. Luckily Zara although green is a real sweetheart and we have built up some real trust over the 10 months I have had her. I can get her past just about anything using my voice, which I am very happy about ;D Will soon be on the lookout for an instructor who will be sympathetic and gentle with us both so if anyone can recommend someone in the N Wilts area I'd be very interested

Thought I'd introduce myself on this thread! Any excuse to talk about Maddie! I am Cathy and own Maddie a 5yo 16hh TB mare who I bought 3/4 months ago as an exracer! HOpefully will be entering the eventing scene next year, which will be a bit nerve-racking!

Hi I'm Louise B and I'm up in Cheshire with my 2 horses
Alma a 10 y/o warmblood chestnut mare whom I have owned for 4 years Mervin a 13 y/o H/W skewbald show cob whom I have owned for 2 years
Together we love hacking out and schooling and groundwork and clicker training and generally just chiiling out sitting in the fields as well.
I'm one of the founder members of northcheshireriders.org - a bridleways project working with our council to get safer hacking in our area
I've also been acting as a coordinator gathering information for the IH Association Page. I find information about events (other than shows ) happening in the North West & North Wales and submit these for inclusion on the North West Events Page on the main site.
If you know of any events happening over the coming months then email me the date, basic info and contact details and I'll get the info posted up. My email is louisebarson AT btinternet.com
As we have so few workshops and clinics in the North West I am looking into organising some covering a variety of topics and holding them on Cheshire and Lancashire and maybe North Wales. If you are interested in this project and would like to make some suggestions or to take part then email me :0))

Hi Everyone
Im Elise and Ive got two horses - Horace who is a 19 year old Semi Retired Cob who ive had for almost 14 years now and Rosie who ive owned for a few months. Unfortunately, like Matt im not able to ride at the moment - we seem to have a lot in common - I also broke my hip in a fall off Rosie (not her fault). That was in April and im not yet back in the saddle.

Hello, I too used to post at the old board under same name - love this new one though!!
Anyway, quick introduction - I'm Helena, have two horses: a 7-y-o Irish gelding who's a bit of an allrounder, and a 11-y-o US TB mare who is currently on box rest following a stress fracture but I hope to get her back into work in the near future.

Hi, I've posted my ponies on the pony thread so had to come on here so as not to leave my horse out! Here he is - he is such a babe, had a rough year bless him but he's home now for lots of TLC. Dylan:
