Both, but I have a pony because of the economics of it all - and also because he found me when I needed him - took one look and fel in love!

Ponies get my vote. Size-wise I'm only a little squirt myself, so I prefer the more diminutive equine. I'm a firm fan of native ponies in particular, because of their hardiness, intelligence and sense of self-preservation! My Exmoor is also the cutest thing on four legs in his winter coat!
