Hi everybody,
I really need some professional help with my mare now as after a year and two months of owning her she has now become so nappy I cant ride her on my own at all (and we were out competing all summer last year without these problems!) and even when I go out with my daughter on her pony she just clings to him and wont go forward!
I am really not proud of this so please dont judge me but i have been having lessons with an instructor since I got her who thought the only way to deal with her bad behaviour was to constantly smack her with a whip and scream at her.....needless to say this has just made her worse and we have now parted company.
I am now left with a mare who is not herself at all and has no confidence in herself or me and I really need an intelligent horsemanship associate to help me start again. I would like to find someone who can start on the ground with join up etc but then be able to ride her alongside myself and then continue to give me lessons and support.
I am in Bedfordshire and have found a couple of names of people in my area but thought I would see who anyone else in the area would recommend and equally would love to hear from anyone with similar experiences as this is really upsetting me now and I just keep bursting into tears whenever I'm around her so need to get it sorted.
Thanks in advance. x

You definitely did the right thing parting company with such a person.
Getting an RA out is a very sensible approach to get you both trusting each other again x
Best of luck and let us know.
