I'll start with the positives. Fergus 2 weeks post op and has *frantically touching wood* been recovering really well. I am so pleased with how he has been coming along. He got his stitches out today and the shoulder medicated.
Ori however is still as lame after 6 weeks box rest. Her first 2 trots up the lameness hall she looked quite sound but the third run you could see her hip dropping and the toe beginning to drag. There is no improvement whatsoever. I have had to leave her in the vet school again for further investigation. Mri on Friday and hopefully home on Saturday could greet.

Got her results in yesterday morning and it's not good news for my lovely girl. Hock bone is riddled with disease, quite an uncommon thing and no definite treatment/cure available. At best they might be able to get her pain free enough to be a field ornament but there is a very high possibility that the end of the road is near. I wasn't expecting anything like this at all, gutted.

Thank you, it's been a horrible few weeks and to top it off she got a fright yesterday and ripped the rope clean out my hands - should have been wearing gloves - and spent 10 minutes careering around, will have to wait until tomorrow to see what damage that does. Have a treatment plan in place to see if we can get her field sound will be starting next week with another trip to the vet uni. Fingers crossed they can do something for her! Have included a few photos of my boys - Can't remember if i shared them before but they certainly brighten my day. Fergi in the vet school First day home Best buds

How cute is that pony? Absolutely gorgeous I hope you success in your quest for field soundness!! He is the cutest thing on this planet, but then I am biased! He is a true Saint and I really am so pleased that he has made a good recovery. Thank you, I owe it to her to at least try

Have you looked into homeopathy and holistic remedies ? I personally don't trust vets and doctors as far as I could throw them what is it that's wrong with her?
