I have returned to the Forum after, it would appear, a 5 year absence. How are you all doing? I recognise some names, & had a read through some old posts to re-acquaint myself. My life has changed SO much since I last posted! I had a catastrophic fall from Arlo 26/7/2011. I broke my wrist & injured my back. I then spent a week in hospital having surgery on my wrist. The hospital told me I hadn't injured my back at all, despite the fact I couldn't walk, & discharged me with 30 Co-Codamol. I tried to get on with stuff, & returned to work at the end of the summer holidays. I was in a lot of pain, & my mobility was restricted, but hey ho, I tried to carry on. Fast forward a year, I finally got my back x-rayed, to discover 4 (yes, FOUR) open fractured vertebrae. I had to retire from work, & also riding. We moved house (twice!) I bought another pony for my little girl, as she outgrew Twinkle, so we have a little herd of 3! Arlo's a big pet/field ornament, Twinkle does get ridden. I now live in a little bungalow in a little village. My horses are on my own land, in walking distance (20 minutes) or a 2 minute car journey. I walk slowly nowadays! I've got nearly 8 acres, so a big increase from the .75 I had before!! My little girl competes on her pony, I bought a trailer, & we get Poppy (the new pony) out in it every so often. My life has changed so much, it's quite astonishing really!

Hello and welcome back! I'm sorry to hear about your accident and its consequences. But I'm sure you enjoy watching your daughter enjoy her pony!
