Have some how or other found myself agreeing to ride one of the yards youngsters in his first ever outing next weekend Fingers crossed that he (and my dodgey health) behave!

Thanks ladies. He is an absolute joy in every way and I'm sure we will both have a ball. Fingers crossed that the weather gets a bit better so we don't get cancelled on!

Well the show was cancelled due to flooding in the field, so we managed to organise lessons on the yard instead. Just as well I'm thinking as we shared a lesson with 2 other ponies from off the yard and little coblet got very excited by this... Had just settled my bum in the saddle, gathered my reins and he went "YEEHAAA" with a big hop skip and rodeo buck across the school . However it's the only time he has ever done anything like that and he settled down straight after and got on with the business, good as gold and even led the other 2 older ponies over some scary trotting poles at the end.

Woah, that was a bit of an introduction to each other, he must have sensed your excitement! Well done for staying on, and not chickening out! I think I might have done. I hope you enjoyed the ride after the YEEHAAA?
