I have just been told oh has been offered a job local to our parents in braintree essex so I am urgently after livery in this area (will travel up to an hr if needed) for my 14.1hh cob he is entire which is where we are struggling, I am happy to castrate once we move should it be required he turns out next to mares and geldings with electric fence between and stables next to them no issues references from current yo can be provided. I would rather not castrate before move as it would mean a long trailer journey while still recovering but if I could move and settle him I would castrate if required by the yard once there any help would be much appreciated

Jeepers that is a ridiculous quote for a castration! I had a 5 year old castrated under general at the vets premises, he went in the night before and I picked him up the day after and the cost was less than half of that!
I would get a quote from another vet if I were you

God that seems a huge expense. We had our colt done at home and was around the £250 mark. Will keep fingers crossed that you get something sorted x

Thanks for all the help guys I have found a yard reasonably local to where we will be living which seems to be suitable for our boy
