Last year I made my round pen and used old electric tape, medium width, I really want to put up the widest tape so is any one out there replacing theirs and would let me have the old, it doesn't need to be viable electrically as I'm not going to make it live but it would need to be in long runs so I don't have to many joins, I could buy new but it seems a waste of money if I can recycle someone's, obviously I would collect or cover the postage.

I've got plenty of old tape and I'm just about to replace a 200m length with new, but I use the 10mm wide stuff as I have 4 strands to discourage dogs from going through it, there's is a busy footpath through the field.
I do have a 100m? length of 20mm that I use ocassionally as it doesn't all conduct electricity. I don't like using it as it has a greater wind resistance and the fence will blow over in high winds. Would that do? I'm not sure what length you need. Er, hand on, I'll consult wikipedia:
C = 2 x Pi x r (Diameter of a round pen for a horse is 50'?, therefore the radius would be 25').
2 x 3.142 x 25' = 157' divided by 3 is approximately 52 yards.
Call it 50m. Therefore 100m would only give you 2 strands. I use 4 strands on mine.
