Can anyone recommend some long synthetic riding boots which would be suitable for competitions, ie smart? I don't mind paying a reasonable amount but, as a vegetarian, I would prefer not to buy leather boots. Thanks.

The saxon equileather ones do look quite nice.
You need to be careful though with synthetic boots that they are comfortable to begin with as they don't 'wear in' and get more comfortable like leather do

I bought a lovely pair of riding boots from Scatts about a month ago. I think these are the same ones: www.countrybase.co.uk/proddetail.asp?prod=Brogini-Modena-Long-Riding-BootsThey have a zip that goes all the way down the back, right to the sole, so are easy to get on and off. They have an elasticated strip next to the zip too which makes for a good, flexible fit. They look so gorgeous I wear them everywhere! And they are the most comfortable piece of footwear I own Much recommended! I am a vegan and wanted boots that looked nice but were synthetic. These far exceeded my expectations!

I had the Saxon Equileather boots also, and they certainly always looked nice and they were comfortable, with the bonus of a low price. I would recommend them.

I just took a look at your link, those Brogini boots look very nice,Brogini are very good quality and usually expensive, but those boots are cheap. Look much nicer than the Saxon ones, but similar price.
