Does anyone have any recommendations (or advice to avoid!) for trailer rescue organisations? I'm doing quite a lot of trailering this summer and have decided to stop 'taking it at risk' and get membership of a rescue organisation!

Prp - they will send a replacement box rather than tow with horses on board (which should only ever be done in case of emergency eg tow from the hars shoulder of the motorway to the nearest services/safe place).
Sent from my GT-I9195 using proboards

I've been with Equine Rescue Services Ltd. for years, and last year I needed them for the first time. They were very helpful, calm and reassuring on the phone, and sent a lovely man with a lorry who was very patient and clearly very experienced. Two of the ponies loaded straight away but the other wasn't so sure, he'd never been in a lorry before. He tried several different ideas, moving partitions around, before the pony felt he could go in.
I know it sounds cheesy, but I would definitely recommend them.
Their phone number is 01300 348 997.

Hi I joined 'The Organisation of Horsebox and Trailer Owners' It was started by a rider who had a terrible time getting his horses home from a competition. never had to use them, but liked the sound of them.

Another vote for Equine Rescue. The only time I needed them they were brilliant and followed up the next day with a phone call to check everything had gone ok.

Yes, now you mention it, they did with me too: I've done my best to forget the day and move on! Knowing that I had the insurance, getting through straight away to speak to somebody who was very calm, competant and reassuring was a huge relief on the day. It was a year ago, I'll tell you all about it at some point when I feel able to. Everyone got out with just cuts and bruises.
