Ss, can I ask why you don't use yours? There is a broken one at our yard, it's been repaired a few times but doesn't seem hugely effective, not sure if that's just how terravacs are or if it's our steep fields and too many horses that are the issue. One day I hope to get our own land so I'm very interested in whether they are a real timesaver.

Never used one but the question was asked on here a year or two ago. The feedback was they are almost harder work than the good old shavings fork (or pooper scooper) and wheelbarrow - you have to press the nozzle hard on each pile so it means getting off the vehicle each time. Added to the time it takes to get it hitched up and ready, you would need a big acreage to make it worth while. Would be interested in everyone's experiences though.

3.5 miles of track might warrent using one, I think as farmers were not too fussed about the hitching issue, think we do it about 3 times a day and flit between folks n bucket on angus! Aka mi big blue tractor, I think we will be looking at not having to wheel barrows round over the distance, and not having to empty barrows in certain places on the track, thus saving time, but we shall see , you dont know if you dont try

I see your point - walking 3.5 miles every day is enough, without a barrow and poo picking on the way. Different from a 2 acre field or half acre paddock - piece of cake. Hope it works well for you Jen.
