The equine nutrition one is well worth doing, the forum of course members is almost as useful as the course material. Always worth reviewing traditional habits against scientific information.

Ha ha Jill, those in the old (Traditional) camp will be right any which way, those in the new camp will have a nervous breakdown!

Ha ha Jill, those in the old (Traditional) camp will be right any which way, those in the new camp will have a nervous breakdown! It was a serious comment, based on the number of not very experienced owners (and livery yard owners) who are taken in by the marketing men of the cereal based feeds, and the ever present know it alls who know a little from the many traditional books on the subject. I perhaps won't post in future if you want to be facetious about my posts.

I saw these, and considering one.
Do you see in H & H this week that someone has a Welsh Section D that hunts regularly and is fed nothing but hay and grass.
I remember another article in H & H years ago that featured a well known driving pony, also a Welsh cob Ithink, that was ridden at the weekend drag hunting and was driven through the week and had a hanful of chaff and grass to eat.

The forums are worth reading and getting involved in if you have time. Lots of students from around the world last time made it particularly fascinating.

Thanks for posting that, i missed the last one so have signed up this time. I just spent the last hour going through all the courses they have on there, some very interesting ones (although not many animal related ones). I might be signing up to a few more if this one is good.

I too did the nutrition course last year and found it was pitched at a good level i.e. not too basic and at the same time not too scientific. I am at the moment in the middle of another coursera course "The anatomy of the upper limb" and finding it quite challenging but fits in well with my job.
