You may have seen in the news this week that the export of live animals for slaughter abroad have started from the Port of Dover again. Under current legislation ports must allow the free trade of goods - including live animals. Please can I encourage you all to consider lobbying your MP for changes to the legislation so that this practice is banned so that meat for export is on the hook and not the hoof.
