That AP helmet looks awfully hot for riding? It's no hotter or colder than any other jockey skull. The straps are a lot more comfortable than the thinner webbing straps

Michellep- Yes you're correct. Many riding clubs across the country are now insisting on no peak/collapsible peak hats for x/c. I believe the Pony Club (cross country over 80cm), British Racing and British Eventing insist on no peak or soft/collapsible peaks.
Specialized - I would imagine that if the Jockey Club rule is for a non peaked skull cap that they would feel there is sufficient medical evidence to support this.
Antares - that looks like a really good hat, the padded harness is a good idea. Lovely horse too.
Janwilky - Hope you manage to find a suitable bit of head gear and best of luck on your recovery and return to the saddle.
