Urgent homes sought for family of hill ponies
Maggie, Earl and Duke are mother, father and son. They came to us initially as their owner passed away. Unfortunately their loaners are no longer able to keep them (through no fault of the ponies) and so we are desperately seeking homes for them. Our ideal would be to re-home them direct from where they so as to reduce any stress as much as possible, though if we cannot re-home them shortly this way they will have to come to the centre first.
They are a close knit family group so we really would like to home them together.
Mum, Maggie May.
Maggie is quite a loving pony but is quite shy when approached. once haltered she becomes the most loving of all. She is still the head of the family, and lets the others know it at times. She is approx 20 years old.
Dad, Duke.
Duke is a comical character, very sweet, will stand by you for a long time, likes a cuddle. tends to get pushed out by the others at times. Has been sat on a couple of times and led for a short distance without any concern that anyone is on him.Duke likes to be brushed so he can then run off and roll in the mud. Duke is approx 17 years old.
Son, Earl.
Earl is also a lovely pony will follow you around the field when your cleaning up poo. Very friendly, also has been sat on without any trouble. Also likes being brushed. He does not like being left on his own if we take the others out for the farrier. He also likes company and a cuddle. Earl is approx 12 years old.
We feel that this family are very close, any should not be under any circumstances be parted from each other as the stress would prove too much.
