Hi all
I am working my way through Kelly's Perfect Confidence and think it's brilliant.
Anyway, I have just got to the bit about building a support network, and was wondering if anyone on here would like to be my Support Buddy! I can't think of anyone "in real life" that I would ask, and thought that you guys are more likely to understand my challenges, especially if you have also worked through the book!
Thanks

Rather than one person just put up how you are getting on and problems you are having - you'll get a big enough response

Definitely, I never realised there were so many people I didn't know who were happy to help and advise or at times just sympathise.
Pictures would be good ;D

Don't forget to add roughly where you are, you never know if you're going to want a coffee as well as a chat.

I'd love to be part of a support network wven though I'm only working with my pony inhand at the moment. I've been held back so much by lack of confidence when riding in the past.

I like this idea!!!! Feel free to PM me anytime or post on here for all to see, I'm thinking of getting perfect confidence too- i have perfect manners already. I'd love to hear more about what stage your at/the horses in your life etc. I know I never get bored sharing my stories and need to rein myself in sometimes so I'm sure others are as dying to tell their stories as me.:-)

Monster goblins whatever next! I am in a good place at the moment with my girl as I have gained lots of great support and learnt a valuable lesson. That is the only pressure to 'perform' is one the you put on yourself. It really doesn't matter if you take it right back to sitting in the stable with them - do what you want to do and when. I've made a fab friend who goes jogging with her horse! He is a rescue boy and she knows her responses are better on the ground than when riding so she is happy to walk miles with him in hand most of the time plus the occassional jog lol! She only gets on when circumstances are right for them both.

Can I join in too please?
Here's a 'Perfect Confidence' story - have you done the Lottery Win assigment yet? I did it in Dec '08 and found it last month when re-reading the book. Within 6 months of writing that assignment I actually was the proud owner of the horse I had bought with that 'lottery win'
He was an unbroken 3yr old at the time and we have had a helluva journey to get to where we are today (still far from 100% confident but improving) and the one thing I think helps more than anything else is supportive, like-minded friends who know when to hold your hand and when to kick your butt! I haven't found many of them along the way but am happy to help anyone else if I can
I am in the north of England if anyone is near enough for a coffee!
