Our poor boy went through so much in his short life and we will never stop missing him. We got him as my daughters PC competition horse, he had been a mum's hack before we got him and have never been to a show let alone jumping. It is a very long story what he went through but we lost him aged only 11yrs old. He was vetted when we got him and he was absolutely terrified of the vet and needles We had a wonderful 15 months with him out competing, never once stopping in competition. He then went lame and things spiralled downwards from then on, he ended up going to Bell Equine for MRI, Rossdales for bone scan and finally Liphook with Perotinitis which after a long fight he survived only to have an accident in the field when we had to say that final goodbye. It really was a rollercoaster ride for the poor soul, he fought so much but his luck ran out and we are devastated. My youngest daughter aged 11 has made the most wonderful tribute video to him along with his life story whilst we owned him. He wanted for nothing whilst we had him and we would have done anything for him but the poor chap had been subject to 5 insurance claims and he was so terrified of the vet it really wasn't fair to put him through anymore God bless you Rory (Bailey's on Ice) If you are interested here is the link to the video www.youtube.com/watch?v=pabmAtuIREQ&feature=share

That is such a beautiful tribute to a wonderful horse. He certainly had a lovely life with you and your family and i am so sorry that it ended the way it did. I wondered if you were local to me in Sussex ? We use Chris Watts too ! I hope that you treasure your memories and know that you did everything that you could for him. RIP Rory xx

Thank you we really couldn't have asked for a better horse. He had lots of attitude bless him and wasn't always the easiest of horses at times but we wouldn't have changed a thing about him We are in Horsham and my daughter used to do a lot in the pony club until he went lame. She was always really pleased if Chris was her instructor, 3 years running he was her instructor at pc camp I just wish he hadn't had all the health issues as right to the end he loved nothing more than going out to a show. We only took him to the occasional show as a treat as he loved it so much. Sadly he had the right brain but his body let him down

If you feel like it sometime, why not put a tribute and photos up for Rory in the Rainbow Bridge section of this board. Its a lovely place to remember all of our beautiful animals who have now crossed to Rainbow Bridge. We are very lucky to get to share the lives of these fabulous horses but it hurts like mad when you loose them .... thinking of you all x
