So very sorry to hear this, Trouble. Snip was a very lucky horse and I'm sure he knows you loved him.

So very sorry to hear that you have lost Snip.
I'm another one that has followed your posts over the years, and admired your determination and bravery in your care of your special boy. Please don't think you've failed him - you did absolutely everything you could for him, and he knows that.
I can well understand why you feel relief at letting him go, along with all the sadness. Your photographs are gorgeous (the one with you tickling his bottom lip brought tears to my eyes), and I hope that you will be able to remember him as that glorious youngster, rather than the troubled boy he was towards the end.
RIP Snip - your struggles are over now. Run free.
Lots of hugs, Debx

Beautiful boy.
You stuck with him when most people would have given up. You couldn't have done more. Hugs and best wishes.

Hi Trouble. I'm very sorry to hear that you had to let Snip go after all you've done for him. He was a very lucky horse to be owned by you, as you've always done your best for him.
How are you? Are you still on crutches, or mended and riding again?

I'm doing better, thanks. Not been a good year with the injury, and then to end it by losing Snip this week, and my elderly cat a week before Xmas....lets just say I'm looking forward to 2012!
I'll do a seperate thread to update on Rhythm

No-one could have done more for a horse. RIP Snip and I'm very sorry for what must have been an agonising decision for you. X

I rarely post, but felt I had to sign in to say how sorry I am to hear about your boy and to echo everyone else, you have been an absolutely fantastic owner to Snip and your tireless efforts to do the best for your boy have never ceased to amaze me.
Can't imagine what you are feeling now, but you should be so proud of everything you did for your boy, no-one could have done anything more and because of you he had a wonderful loving home to the last.
RIP Snip, you will be missed x

From me too, best wishes. Everything happens for a reason, and Snip needed you. He has given you so much over the years and you will have learnt & grown as a result. Remember the happy times, enjoy the ones to come with Rythym and the kittens, and be thankful that Snip made the decision for you. Rx
