I am hoarse from screaming at the telly! WOW - wasn't that fantastic!
Thought Long Run was going to catch him, but he just missed the last, whereas Kauto and Ruby were spot-on.
What a wonderful race, and what a fabulous horse.

Fantastic race, was screaming at the telly too, what a star he is, and jumping like a 4 yo.
Hope MM is ok.

That was so great. I was nervous before the start, but it came out all right in the end.

OMG he looked and went like a 6 year old. He lookedso in contol of the race, head up and ears foward. What a truly amazing horse ---------brought tears to my eyes when he won. What a fantastic race, and a legend of a horse.

I didn't see horse the race but saw the result on the news - WHAT a remarkable horse. I remember the trainer when he was a jockey at David BAron's yard at Kingsbridge - he looks slightly different these days!!!

LOL Liz - yes, PN has changed a bit since they days! Have you read his autobiography? It's really good - he started out from a totally unhorsey background. Brilliant chap.
MM's injury isn't life threatening, thank goodness, but it is career threatening, which is so sad. Absolutely brilliant horse at his best. I was really looking forward to seeing how he coped with the step up in distance today, but I guess we'll never know now.

Brilliant race by a brilliant horse! I must admit thought this one was a race too far for him and was hoping he just got round safely, but he had the race of his life, and I don't mind one bit that he now has overtaken Desert Orchid for the number of King George wins. Brave horse and brave rider, Ruby Walsh was just wonderful just as he said, 'sat there and let him go'
