Well done again!
Agree with julz, no rush to trot, just enjoy walking and getting more relaxed. Keep it up.
btw, you're inspiring me to think about getting on again. maybe!!

Thanks for the support it is really appreciated.
sarahlev, do you have someone who could help you the first few times until you build your confidence up? Namibia is a bit far for me to offer to assist :-)

I'd not been on the forum for a little while, had a few days off poorly from work last week and have been on here every day since, been mainly viewing Help & Talk but popped onto Confidence yesterday and you have all inspired me I'm ringing saddlers tomorrow to get new saddle fitted to my new boy and I cant wait to get on him but I know I will 'wobble' but I also know that he is a really good boy Sadly, until last week, was sharing the field with a friend but she has just sold her horse and I am down there on my own Do have a couple of friends who have offered to help but I hate being a wuss in front of people I dont know that well lol Thank you womanofgoth, you have inspired me as well as others and a big welcome to ingebing too I really cant wait to get on my horse even though (after bad accident) I'm a big girls blouse but I know I can do it - just as we all can

Aw thank you, its much appreciated!! It has been a very long road. The new saddle has really made the difference, the other one just wasn't suitable for me.
We need to have a network of confidence givers who go to yards when people have wibbles. A confidence crew!!
I have booked my first riding lesson now I know I can get on board!!

Just seen this thread and wanted to say I'm really pleased for you. Being another rider who in the past has suffered with major confidence issues, I totally understand how hard this must have been for you. Take it really slow and only push your comfort zone i.e. walk when you feel absolutely sure. I found riding every day even for just 5 minutes was the way forward for me. Good luck and looking forward to reading about more of your successes.
