Does anyone buy this off a farmers merchant for their horses?

I get mine off Richard Vialls, my EP. A kilo lasts two 550kg horses around two months, costs £9.

I recently got some from equimins (heavy) 1 kg about £5.90 pound can't remember exactly. You have to ring them as they don't advertise it on their website!

I buy calmag since moving over here. One 25kg sack so far and it's still going strong, I think it was 25 euros from my local creamery which is a farmers merchant over here. Tbh I think calmag is good/pure enough for all but sensitive and IR etc. horses but I may be incorrect. It is gritty and some of mine didn't like it at first. Brewers yeast added makes most things go down I find.

I have only ever found calmag in farm suppliers, the MagOx seems to come via the human medication route. But the yellow Rockies are apparently high in Magnesium, I keep meaning to try them but am reluctant to risk getting the spook maestro back again after years of being nice to be around

I buy from the Metabolic Horse, don't think it's the cheapest but Jackie's customer service is exccellent and it's high purity and I've never had a problem with them eating it

Direct from Taycrest Chemicals sales@ taycrestchemicals.co.uk (0)191 2374743, I believe they do a minimum 10kg but if you can buy as part of a group then quite a saving (sorry don't have current price).

I've always got from Jackie - it's £30 for 1.9kg inc P&P but I only use 3 tsp a day for Flynn - how much does that compare to others?

you can get it direct from Taycrest chemicals, i put the thumb screws on my trimmer till he gave in, thats where most folk selling it, thats if you can handle huge amounts, which is fine for me, i should keep for 18 months if you store it properly,

I got mine from Pro-Earth on Ebay, it was £58.99 for 7.2 kilos plus p&p.
Alternatively I buy it from my trimmer at £10 for kilo, I think she gets it in bulk from Taycrest.
Natural Horse Supplies also sell it.

Most of the people who sell it get it from Taycrest If I want a small amount (or can't afford a big sack) I buy from Barefoot Basics on eBay.
