It's in Chalfont St.Giles, near High Wycombe.

blueali do you happen to know where it's being held? Just wondering what to wear, and whether I need to wrap up?

It was very enjoyable I went (I was the one who sneaked in late) - sorry! Very scientific. KC didn't really have time to answer people's questions properly which was a shame.

I couldn't believe how much I didn't know. It was quite nice that he didn't try to sell his courses etc to you, and just wanted to share his knowledge. Shame the courses are so expensive!
I think allot of people would have been interested in knowing the best way they can improve their horses feet that aren't shod now.
I just want to know how best to trim my chaps feet so the necessary pressure helps the hoof growth.

Jen - have a look on this website www.epauk.org/index.php it'll give you details of your closest EP, who you'd be able to ask advice from for your horses.

Thanks Bertie. I think I actually met my nearest EP last night!
Definately worth looking onto.

Just spotted that Ian does it. Are your horses now bare foot then Bertie?

Yep!! Both the bigs boys are no iron free, the 5 year old has never worn shoes and neither will the six month old colt (all being well). Ian hasn't looked back since that first meeting with KC in October last year! Ohhh... and check out our website!! Very exciting times!!

I've just seen your website - very impressive!
I am situated on such a rough old bridleway, and my big chap feels every bump, I would love to help his feet to cope with it!
My new 'skinny' horse hasn't got shoes on his hinds at the moment, and doesn't feel a thing!

Thanks for that! I love the picture of Bertie in the top right hand corner! Definately get your closest EP to come down & have a chat with you and your horses. If my boys can cope over all surfaces (Podge got weighed in at 910kg to have his bits removed), then you know that you big lad will be able to too.

I'm definately sold. Just concerned that I will need to exercise my new chap in all weathers to keep him fit, and he won't grow enough hoof...

Jen - in my experience they tend to grow the more you exercise them as long as they have a proper trim - that was one of my main worries with Flynn, but I can honestly say he has never come anywhere near running out of hoof since a KC trimmer started coming to me.
