i done some loading with poppy today she was a gem after about 2mins she was in the trailer after about 15mins we had been in and out about half a dozen times,, then i tied her in there wit a haynet,ramp up and went and done some more mucking out she was fine then she backed out as good as gold,next week were going for a little drive with her she how she goes,,,,,i learnt so much in so little time last week i owe so much to monty and kelly xxxxxxxxxxx ;D

Great news Ange. I'm so pleased. Don't forget if you take her in and out ten times in a session and then do the same each day for three weeks, you'll have loaded her happily over 200 times! As Monty says, "When you get things right, repetition is your best friend, when you get things wrong, repetition is your worst enemy."
No doubt Rosie has already mentioned it, but don't make your first journey too short, especially if you have a bumpy drive with hedges that catch the side of the trailer to negotiate. Let her experience a nice smooth straight stretch of road somewhere, and be careful and s-l-o-w with braking, so she has good memories of the ride.
Many a good loading session has been spoiled by the ride just after. Not in your case I'm sure, but sadly in too many.

aww well done, have you tryed starting the engine while she is in, might add a bit of something else to the mix, you must be so very proud of your lovely girl

awww i was at aintree demo i loved Poppy she was like a mini version of Dets and similar issues so i found it very useful. Its great to hear such a fab update x

she is so so chilled in her self now aswell,when she has been in the trailer she comes out so happy with herself like she knows she has got over her fears xxx

i couldnt tell anyone jen no computer and then had to rush to catch train... it was a mental journey to and from i didnt think we would get home..... ange i bet its such a weight lifted to know Poppy is over her fear

I dont suppose you could put up a piccie could you ange? I was not stop telling my mum about how cute and gorgeous Poppy was. Jfors im also a friesan freak and also have a soft spot for fells and dales ponies
