I watched it all last night as my friend (Amy stovold) was riding! Her horse wasn't as flashy as some but I thought it was the most relaxed test by miles. Macbrian wasn't in the least bit tense and it was lovely to watch. She was so thrilled to be there and did very well to come 5th against very stiff competition ;D

Ah, I knew someone on here had a friend who was a GP level and I THOUGHT it was AMy. Isn't she the girl who has had to acheive it all through her own hard work?

Yep, she started out as most of us did, riding school and then her own pony who she really worked hard with. She then went to college but decided she wanted to ride for a living. She worked her butt off to get a job with a top dressage trainer and has worked her way up from there. It was so lovely to see her beaming as she was just about to go in!

Oh small world I know Amy too!! I've known her for years, went to see her horses last year at David's, when we bumped into her at Hickstead wow is the yard lush!! Cant believe Dax & Dex are still going!!
Yes Amy has worked very hard, and has done it all thru hard work and determination and really nice with it. Hopefully she will continue to improve and be seen out there doing the business and recently came 2nd in GP Freestyle in Austria.
I really love the way Laura B rides and think she is an amazing rider, but having a Mother who is from a family of Billionaires and a father that rides and trains in dressage, she really does have several advantages over most of us!! Not taking away anything from her successes.

Wow!!! I knew dax and dex when David had them at ebbisham. I owe David so much - he was the only one who told me to stick with my pony when everyone else told me she was dangerous and to get rid. 15 yrs later she's still with me, bred me an amazing foal and is now out doing bsja juniors taking nervous riders round 3ft courses. Haven't seen him and Angela for ages but would love to go and visit them soon

Jennyb, my apologies to the noble Gazdag, he certainly is a handsome lad!! But you know what I mean about the Spanish Riding School horses? They can look quite ordinary and even lacking in quality until they're under saddle - then they become transformed into something quite exceptional.
