From Facebook Kelly Marks and Intelligent Horsemanship "Thanks Simon Palmer for Olympia photos! The commentator was hung over from the night before so forgot the audience vote!He also forgot to put Daisy on Joey at the end ): - but nevertheless we all had a great time. Pie and I were so proud of Banksy and Rosie Jones, also Daisy O did a great job helping Joey and the Amaz...ing Kitty McG did some film diary but most importantly my sister drove the horsebox through London!"
Special Sparkle - honestly Banksy is growing into such a nice horse (17.1 hh now!) and he behaved beautifully. Also if he's not the best advert ever for the Dually I don't know who is - BF Angela was getting very upset watching a lot of people jag horses in the mouth at the very prolongued afternoon vet check.
We stayed for some of the evening show. Somehow the atmosphere isn't quite as exciting as HOYS - is it the sound? Is it the lighting? The best thing for me (a personal opinion) was watching the Friesan do dressage to James Bond - he was smashing. I wonder if Simon has a photo of him?

Hi Kelly,
I've added a picture of Hans Meganck's horse Rintje V for you to drool over.
Although I must admit I'd like that horse as well!
Cheers

Glad you had such a great time, Kelly! Rosie too! As for the Friesian, I missed it - if I didnt have Iberians, the Friesian would be my next choice, in fact, I have had to seriously steel myself when visiting my friend Tineke in Holland, who lives in an area with a lot of top Friesian studs! My ex working student Mike Aylmore is back living here now, and has his stunning Friesian gelding, Lieuwe, here, so at least, I can get a bit of a Friesian 'fix' watching him train him!! When I was lecturing at the Horse Event in Holland, in 2006, ex Olympic dressage rider, Tineke Bartels ( Mother of Imke) did a pas de trois with two of her students, all on Friesian stallions. It was breathtaking and left the other dressage displays trailing in their wake!! Heather

Sadly I have already been told that I have more chance of winning the Grand National while juggling three ferrets singing the national anthem in swedish..... Oh well...I can dream!
