Wow - I didn't think I could get much busier but it seems I can! Managed to get a few days off in April to celebrate my mum's birthday - went to stay at my brother's in Whitstable and enjoyed a sail on a lovely sunny day, followed by a delicious meal at the famous Wheelers Oyster Bar - highly recommended! Enjoyed another popular week in Bucks / Berks / Oxon working with some old friends, and a full couple of days at Daneswood Dressage and the surrounding areas in Worcs. Went to the Equine Sports Massage Association at Bristol Uni conference which was excellent, a timely reminder of some detailed anatomy which totally fried my brain! Simon did a fantastic job of building our new IKEA library (photos on facebook of course!), so I now finally have my dedicated entire bookshelf (yes, it's a big bookshelf!) of horse reference books, a dream I've held for many years. And then probably most exciting, we've got 2 additions to the family - Smartie and Pete - ponies who were a big part of Simon's life a few years ago who are now once again able to be part of his (and my) life. Pete's a Shetland x who thinks he's a Shire stallion, he's such a character it only took him an hour to win over the young filly of the field from her previous best friend! And Smartie is just gorgeous, Simon and I are really looking forward to spending some time with them over the summer. They're staying with a good friend of mine, well cared for and much loved.
And now we're already part way through May and already there's so much going on... and Kelly's May Masterclass to get ready for... here goes, see you next month!
