Concentrating on working from the ground, to help build confidence in the horse and the handler, and create a willing partnership. A short talk on why horses ‘do what they do’ Intelligent leading work, position of handler/horse, coping with the bargey/difficult to lead horse, correct use of training halter Asking a horse to ‘yield to pressure’ How body language/position affects the horse Asking a horse to walk over unfamiliar objects, tarpaulin/wooden board, for trust building/preparation prior to loading into a horsebox. Long lining/lunging. There will also be time for questions/discussion The above work can also lead to a horse becoming more responsive when being ridden! Oh what a shame you're so far away from me (Hampshire) - my two friends and I would love to do a day course like that. Are any of the other RA's running anything similar in the south?

This was in the Bransby annual review so am getting a number of enquiries. Please do book to secure your place if you want to bring a horse. Not so important for spectator places
