many I think dont visit the demo threads. Annabelle is running a weekend course/clinic at Junes place Beds/Herts border May 13/14 but starting a bit on the Friday evening the 12th.
Have a nose down at details and if you go into the demo threads you can find out more about Annabelle. From all I have read she seems to fit in with my ideals.
PM myself or June if you wish to know more ( note June is on Hols 1st week of March)
Annabelle Harling (Holder of the Monty Roberts Preliminary Certificate in Horsemanship) is now back from a 2 year trip to the USA to study with Craig Stevens, and is running French Classical equitation clinics around the UK.
• Very compatible with Intelligent Horsemanship/other “natural” forms of groundwork • No forcing of the horse or using physical strength: very light rein, leg and seat aids • Innovative Seat Training exercises help you become elegant, secure and confident in the saddle • Learn the secret to “brakes” and have excellent control on a light rein – no more pulling! • Happy hackers – have a horse who is safer, more confident and a pleasure to ride • Demystifying the path to haute ecole for everyone – it's simple and you can do it! • No gadgets (spurs, flashes, training aids) needed, even to achieve piaffe, passage and pirouettes
Two day clinics cost £145 per rider including 2 private lessons, Seat Training and Classical Groundwork. Spectator places are available at £20, space permitting.

Hi Louise C, yes, have booked a rider place - excited but nervous too! Oh well, in the company of friends and all in all I think it will be a really great positive experience for Bobby and I. Hopefully we will have had our ride out before then, so you will have already met him. Taking him to get his saddle checked a week on Friday then fingers crossed we can perhaps meet up for that hack?
Susan, would be great if I could stay with you - if you are sure it won't cause any inconvenience.
Firefly it will be great to meet you too, and you can meet my lovely boy Bobby - 16.3 ISH, bright bay, looks like the world's biggest pony. Ask Susan or Lucy, they'll confirm that. He is like a 13hh pony who didn't stop growing!!!

Louise will sort it out with you at the 'seatbones feeling session' at the end of the month !
Casper he sounds like a very handsome gentleman and no doubt some of Junes mares will be swooning after him as he walks past !

Hi all, Great to see so much enthusiasm on here - I am looking forward to the clinic at June's, I'm really passionate about getting this way of riding better known for the sake of the horses. Sounds like there will be a good group there, hello to susan, lucyloo, casper, Louise C and firefly. There is normally an unmounted session on a Friday night in a lecture room, and as far as I know we are going with that format at June's. All the riders and spectators need to come, as it will help you follow what's happening over the rest of the weekend! It also frees up time to fit in some seat training and classical groundwork, which are very useful skills. Location wise I imagine the Friday evening will be near June's somewhere, June is probably the best person to ask about logistics. Can't wait! Take care, Annabelle
