This is a rare opportunity to study with two of Intelligent Horsemanship’s most long-standing Recommended Associates.
You will have many opportunities to watch us work with a wide variety of horses. This includes all kinds of ‘problem’ horses but also many non-problematic horses and riders who simply want to improve their skills. This will mostly take place through our very popular clinics, as well as on callouts. We also have several residential project horses that, depending on ability and experience, you will be able to work with.
We will also provide you with hands-on training, through participation on our Integrated Equitation clinics, Sunday Skills Sessions, and callouts.
This is a full-time position, with the ability to work some weekends essential. You will be working alongside our regular volunteers and helpers, and will have overall responsibility for the day to day running of our yard of 12 horses. Liking children would be very helpful, and if you are a registered childminder or nanny there would be the opportunity for paid childcare work.
You will live in your own little flat on site, and the only thing you’ll have to cover is your food and electricity bill. There are plenty of opportunities locally to find part-time/casual employment to cover basic expenses.
Previous horse experience preferable, but not essential. The work is physically demanding, and you will need to be healthy and fit - or prepared to become so! Non smoker essential.
