A few weeks ago I did some work with umbrellas with Angela's husband's Hunter, Murphy, who has had some really scary moments when he has been ridden along the track by the golf course near his home on a wet day
To start with, he was even worried by the tiny kiddies umbrella that I used, but by the end he was happy to have even the big one all over him
He is still not entirely chilled about it all, but OH so much better than he was when I first popped even the mini one up
We also did tarpaulins (which he walked over very quickly), and electric tooth brushes as a start to helping him over his clipping phobia. He was very brave with the toothbrush, and eventually allowed me to brush his shoulder with it.
More homework for his owners!

As I was trundling around with my pushchair full of tarpaulin, flags, umbrellas etc to spook bust Spats yesterday, Angela said that the pushchair would have sent Murphy into orbit!
Apparently Angela's husband nearly ended up joining a baby in one a while back when Murphy did a mega spook at one!
So, we set off down the track with Murphy following behind me and the pushchair, and every time I stopped, Murphy had to touch the pushchair with his nose to make it go away from him.
He got it in no time at all, and by the end of the session wasn't the least worried about me walking all round him with it, walking behind, leaping out from round a corner with it. Unfortunately we couldn't reconstruct a small screaming infant in one, but hopefully he will be a lot happier next time he meets one
