New Forest - main roads are fine, minor roads are very hard to drive on. I had to crawl in first gear from the main road through the minor road to get to the horses. Then I got stuck on ice for a bit.
I drove from the forest to Bournemouth earlier today (we had to do a funeral, so had no choice!). The roads were 90% clear for much of the day. A few patches of light snow and slush, but surprisingly little.

very icy as the slush has frozen solid so not easy to drive/walk on...OH said M1 was clear but Northampton was bad

Hi Kelly... I'm in Canterbury, at home because school is cancelled; lots of snow here and getting out of Kent could be difficult. I phoned the IH office yesterday to ask if the course was going ahead because I was concerned. The point I made to them is that like many of the students I've had to arrange horsecare, B&B etc. to get away and ideally need to know sooner rather than later so that I can let them all know. The long range forcast isn't looking good so I'm also concerned, if the course went ahead, about getting home. The Police are saying don't travel unless you have to. I understand you have a very busy schedule and that re-booking the course could be difficult for you. If you decide to go ahead and any of us simply can't get there where do we stand regarding course fees already paid? Should I cancel and pull out now rather than risk it? Hope you're all keeping warm and safe! Sarah and Tinker (who met you on the 5 day foundation last summer)

A dusting of snow in Aberdeen overnight. Main roads ok and passable, airport open - not sure about rail services. Temperatures look to be slightly milder over next few days. Aberdeenshire looks quite bad but a few schools open today (all were shut yesterday).
Please stay safe, warm and well everyone.
