Hey you lot... just for the entertainment value I thought I'd tell you about Vi's hair dryer!! I am an obsessive 'grey horse owner' - with this title comes a certain amount of responsibility *ahem* One's grey ponio *well, ok; horse* must be at her upmost immaculateness at alllllllllllll times. During the summer this is nice n easy The winter however is a different ball game..... even though I use hot water for washing and towel dry; I was still lacking that extra something...... Never fear!! Viola's nan n grandada (my Ma n Pa) came to the rescue and bought Vi her very own hair dryer ;D lmao I washed Vi's tail yeaterday and blow dried it!! MAGIC !! A few other liveries thought I was wayyyyyyyyyyy off the planet but her tail came up amazingly ! YAY!! Happy New Year peeps x x

LOL..... must confess to tail 'choppage' just below dock after chronic diarrhoea (long story) and horrendous mud problem...and flooding... this winter. Am now letting it grow back for summer and flies.. ha ha.. although think i might start a trend in Somerset LOL..... If i ever get to the point of getting to a place with posh facilities again.... a hairdryer and full makeover it is LOL!!!

Most excellent!
Luckily all mine have dark tails but being a bit of a clean freak myself, they spend all winter with plaited coconut oiled tails and oiled legs to keep the mud orf! Full neck rugs and oiled forelocks and first part of mane plaited if long enough.
And they live out.................

Lisam... what a fabulous idea.. i have often wished to go via a kind of 'horsey' car wash on a hack where i could just ride through and have a sparkling pone at the other side LOL..... but i reckon to book them in to a pony parlour to have a fully beauty makeover would be right up the spotulars street .... hee.. come to think of it i think Nector bee the mule would like it too as long as you didn't fiddle with her ears too much... although her ears do need the grime taking out of the inards... LOL...... p.s do you do sparkly hooves... i fancy that.....

anytime Mandal glad you like them xx I rarely looks after myself either--- hairy legs add to the warmth anyhow !! Gives me more time to look after Vi Potto - Vi has THE hairiest ears ever ! I have to trim them regularly! Ever ponio/mulio (lol!) needs some pampering ! *reaches for the pony parlour diary to book you all in!)

One of my daughter's pony club friends had an electric shower in their stables before we even had one at home. Don't know whether they had a hair dryer as well.
Raffles, my grey pony, goes himalayan in the winter: white with dark points. In other words, the bit covered by the rug is white, the rest is grubby.
