I have 4 and 3 year old fillies who I love to bits, they are kept at home on our farm but I have been told I need to find homes for them before April as there will be no grazing for them aswell as the 450 sheep and 200 cattle.I have tried advertising them but horses are not selling at the moment, especially unbroken ones! could I put them on loan? could this be an option? any ideas gratefully recieved please.

for the interim, id just simply find some kind of livery that could look after them for a while, hypothetically speaking someone like me with there own farm could turn them out for the winter with haylage and daily checks, bit like growing up livery/holiday / see if you can find something similar near by,

If you put the area your in and how big etc they both are maybe someone will know of a place they could go for a while?

Have you seen the thread put up by Sarah Weston RA, in the personal charities section ? It might be worth having a chat with her ?
