Just ordered sacks of linseed and brewer's yeast. Total of £75, including postage. That should cover up to 10 months, even feeding both ponies on them, but right now it's not helping. That means I've spent £100 today alone, on hairy ungrateful buggers! I'm such a tightwad, as this is probably nothing compared to what some spend on their precious beasts.
Am off to hit the Disarrono... ;D

p.s. I think what hurts is seeing it appear out the other end in a brown pile of smelly stuff.
*thinks of all the money she's saving on compost*
Nope, still need the alkyol...

Is that all? I spent £37.50 on just 1 mths worth of supplements for 1 pony today and i have another 2 to think about as well, all have different supplements for one thing or another and all run out at different times and as all my stuff is stored at home, i don't have room to bulk buy at all so don't get any discounts.
My daughter asked me the other day how much i spend on the ponies a year, i said i would sit down and work it out but i won't because it will scare the pants off me - LOL
My hay costs me near on £100 a mth on its own let alone anything else and i certainly don't over feed or over analyse their diets, minimum for maximum effect and only the stuff that has proved to work for them and they still cripple me financially!
Would i give it up? - NEVER!

i'm spending £50 a week on hay at the moment and that went up to £75.00 when it snowed Only Jarvis (8 month welsh a foal) is getting extra and he is on half a scope of Stud mix a day which seems to be making his legs longer and thinner

Makes you wonder why we do it, eh? KoLaTo, I would be spending that on supplements if I hadn't just bought it by the sackload. At the last purchase of boiled linseed, I paid £13 for 3Kg. Brewer's Yeast was £8 for 1Kg. Pink Powder is £24 I think (did look today, but the sticker has come off - must have been sweat from the stress!!) for is it 1Kg? The medium size one?
So, I've decided at last to give bulk buying a go. With the amount of vits and minerals plus Omega 3s and all that jazz, I'm hoping they won't need anything else (except Hi-Fi Lite to put it in!).
Yes, the disaronno was nice. Not as nice as my home-made sloe gin, though. Which goes well with donuts, as it happens. ;D

Don't mention money - I've borrowed a pony to keep Flynn company temporarily so had 2 lots of trims to pay for today - yikes - and a load of haylage yesterday means I've spent £180 in 2 days! Field rent is due tomorrow............................................
