New rescue girl is here, what an amazing girl!

She loaded straight away and was happy to come to her new home. There others were interested in her but didn't go too mad until I got a txt that night from the farmer saying they had all got into her field. So we went down there to find all of ours totally ignoring her but too busy grazing on the newer grass! She was in the herd straight away not getting pushed out! maybe they respect her due to her age?

The next day we caught her to spruce her up a bit. Now I have been told to leave her headcollar on as she is hard to catch. I did not leave it on her as it was not a field safe one. So I went to catch her and she walked right up to me! About three times I went to catch her and she looked pleased I was coming!!

then we started giving her a groom. I did her body and tail my friend her mane. I am pleased to say most of the tangles came out and she only lost a few bits but she looks quite normal! Her fur is not too good matted with rainscaled and permanently in the pattern of being wet! But we rugged her to keep the rain off her back.
Whilst we done all this she just stood there eating not even tied up. What a star she is, like she knows we are helping her and she is really thankful! I swear she knows!!

She really reminds me of jasmine, such a poser! She was watching the horsebox go out of site! Plus even more weird her birthday is the same day as Jasmine!!!!!

She's beautiful - she's got a real sparkle, despite her condition. Can't wait to see what you will get her looking like next Spring!

Beauty was worse than that when she arrived. I have been feeding her twice a day on Badminton's Show and Conditioning Mix and Alfa-A. Have recently switched to Alpha-A Oil because apparently it is even better for putting condition on.

She s a lovely mare. It is depressing though isn't it - if a stunning mare like that is in need of rescue, what hope is there for all the sruffy little ponies that no-one cares about. But well done you for giving her a chance of a decent retirement.

What a sad situation this beautiful old lady found herself in, she is lovely and I'm sure she is very grateful for the kind and loving home shes walked into.
Having been forced finacially to rehome some of my babies this is what worries me the most, you do your best, have the best intentions but there are no garuntees. How lucky some horses are to find angels arabmare. Best of luck with your new girl

Re the name: somewhere back in her breeding there is a horse called Astrella. How about adapting it slightly to Estrella? It's Spanish for star.
