This lady asked me to work with her horse which has ongoing physical issues (bilateral caudal heel syndrome, plus hock problems), is treated and monitored by the vet, still able to be in ridden work at a good level (novice / elementary dressage). She had a lesson a couple of weeks ago which went ok, but the horse seemed stiff to the left, and the day after the lesson she didn't seem right at all, and had only been worked in walk since. I did a physio session for her, and she had another lesson 2 days later - just thought I'd share with you the comment she emailed me today:
"Hi Sue Just to let you know I had my lesson today & it went much better than I hoped. D couldn't see anything untoward in her movement at all. (tho she did start curling her tongue up!) She certainly felt a lot looser generally and didn't hang on the left rein. Here's hoping it continues. (She's not as compliant at the leg stretches for me as she was for you...!!!)"
I love my job so much - it's great to be able to help horses feel better!
Sue
