Hi,
Well done for going barefoot. Have a look at Richard Vialls website. He is an Equine podiatrist and quite a expert on diet.
There is also the EPA Forum, always worth a visit as they are all mostly experts.

Slightly off topic but it was that photo of a horse with LGL standing on Richard's site that at last showed me why Sophie has often stood "like and elephant on a ball" Great description the gaffer!!! Scroll down for the pic Sophie was much more marked than this. www.unshod.co.uk/articles.php ... Click on the LGL article can't seem to do a direct link.

Hi, I have always had my horses barefoot and lucky enough to have found a fantastic KC La Pierre DAEP barefoot trimmer. Prior to me finding her I had a not so good one, so they do vary as with everything. A good website to go to about horse hoof problems is KC La Pierres and there should be a link to `the perfect hoof club' (free to join) where you will get an answer to any foot related problems.
Sorry to read your latest post, but there will be a definite way forwards, check out the above anyway and see if that helps.
Best wishes Gillee

Hi, I forgot to say that my Equine Podiatrist who I most highly recommend is Lindsay Cotterell DAEP, and she is based in Bristol, but does work in Somerset and comes over to me here in South Wales. You couldn't get a more kinder, caring and understanding person and she has also done the IH courses as well!
